Pearly Gates

 

This was a variant that i had read about online. 

I googled top strongest psychedelics.  Pearly gates was listed no. 3.  Right in the middle,   so i ordered.

I truly truly love how pretty and white they are.  They also grow totally different from the tall lanky shrooms.  They seem to be short & stumpy.

I have been disappointed in a few of my grow tubs w these however.   Via agar, into grain, they have thus far been clean,   once ive gotten them into substrate ive had 2 tubs end up w trich.  Grrrr.  Something im trying to figure out, and i will.

Ive only made chocolates w these.   I like making chocolates coz the choc seems to preserve the potency better than powdered in capsules.  I did enjoy my experience w pearly gates.   

Though ive read, & heard folks say that more than one variant be more potent than another,  its just as, if not more, important to have a good setting.

I believe this from past experiences w LSD.  Not interested in telling those tales tonite,   perhaps someday i will....

My experiences...

 Ive not taken many trips yet to have enough to write about. Im thinking ill use this little blog to keep track of what ive grown, my novice experience of how they grow etc. My first batch i did so many things wrong, yet i had an amazing crop . I started w a grow bag of grain that i bought online. I forgot to label the strain that i had innoculated into the bag,  forgot to write a date of when i actually innoculated,  so it seemed to take FOREVER to fill that bag w mycelium.  Maybe it did since i didnt date it?  Once the mycelium did start growing it was sooo pretty.   I loved watching it grow.  Still do love watching all the various strains grow.  I look at them nearly every day in awe. Next i used substrate that i had also bought online to mix my bag of unknown mycelium in.  This was my 1st experience, i had purchased a monotub which took a lot of substrate.  Again, after a week of seeimg nothing happening i was disappointed. Mycelium

  Mycelium is so delicate , dainty,  very pretty,  to me. Whether its growing in agar, which ive yet to get a good photo of,  or growing in a grain jar,  or beginning to grow on the surface of substrate.   I love seeing the white threadlike growth.

Not so much

 It's been a long while since I've even grown anything . I had way too much previously grown and just got out of growing. Maybe will get back to it at some point. I actually do love growing.
