Not so much
It's been a long while since I've even grown anything . I had way too much previously grown and just got out of growing. Maybe will get back to it at some point. I actually do love growing.

A few grain jars
The top image is of casper. A variety ive not tried or grown. It looks like its still growing but its been in this jar for 3 weeks so i will give it another week to see what happens. The other 2 are APE. One jar i put in my incubator, i can see the mycelium growing along the injection drips. The last jar i had just put on a pantry shelf. Its growing but slower. So i put it in the incubator today. Will be interesting to see what happens.

I am again not sure where these spores came from other than a friend. I cant find any info on them. But i thought they were easy to grow Plus i like their caps. Almost likeca button cap but they open more. They also grow prolifically like the cute little bunnies that i like to grow (white rabbit)
APE
Albino penis envy. Was an easy one to grow. I love the little button caps. A few had a tint of blue. Kind of a suck photo. I'll have to be better, i had so much going on this morning so i apologize for such a bad pic. This may be one that i grow more of
Its been awhile
Many things have happened since my last posts. I was sick w an autoimmune disease that kicked me to the curb. For work i had to push thru but i was really sick inside my body. Then the holidaZe came around. My schedule is always wack durimg tbat time of yr. I was also having a difficult time w trichoderma. Nor was the mycelium growing well in my grain jars. They would start growing then stall . We had changed from corn to rye then to wildbird seed. Just trying different things.plus the season was changing. Not sure which of these contributed but it taught me to change a few growing techniques. Always learning. Being so sick for a while i just didnt care either. But i'm back....!!! So. I think ive decided to work w only a few strains. I'm working w some of my last experimental strains. One is a jar of mycelium which im hoping will grow out soon. Halo: not ...
Documenting
I'm not a very good blogger since i do this sporadically, but i do tend to take a ton of photos which is basically how i document my life. So i'll add these photos w comments.... This 1st image is of a few blue meanies i harvested in a hurry this morning. This is the underside of a meanie w the veil still attached. This is a veil that i pulled away myself. Its not until the veil drops that the spores can be released to propgate more. I, personally, think the underside of shrooms are so pretty. This is a stem after the veil has dropped on its own. This is when the spores can drop. I tend to pull the shrooms just before or as the veil has dropped. Otherwise, if left in the substrate too long the spores will drop & it gets messy. I have been dumping my contaminated mycelium into a garden bed. Now & then i find a lovely little shroom that fought its way to sirvive. This is an example. Though i have z...
Outside
Ive taken my basically "dead" blocks of substrate outside to dump in one or the other of my gardens. Though its much too hot here to have a mycelium garden, i did watch paul staments talking about how bees love mycelium. Anything to save the bees! So i just dump the blocks into the gardens and keep watering. If even a tiny bit of mycelium survives i believe that is a good thing. A few times ive gone out and to my surprise ive found little shrooms growing. Here in tx i will never have a "crop" outdoors but its always fun to find random little shrooms growing from the dead blocks.
