Mycelium magic

Ive taken my basically "dead" blocks of substrate outside to dump in one or the other of my gardens.   Though its much too hot here to have a mycelium garden,   i did watch paul staments talking about how bees love mycelium.   Anything to save the bees! So i just dump the blocks into the gardens and keep watering.   If even a tiny bit of mycelium survives i believe that is a good thing.  A few times ive gone out and to my surprise ive found little shrooms growing.   Here in tx i will never have a "crop" outdoors but its always fun to find random little shrooms growing from the dead blocks.  

  Mycelium is so delicate , dainty,  very pretty,  to me. Whether its growing in agar, which ive yet to get a good photo of,  or growing in a grain jar,  or beginning to grow on the surface of substrate.   I love seeing the white threadlike growth.

  This was a variant that i had read about online.  I googled top strongest psychedelics.  Pearly gates was listed no. 3.  Right in the middle,   so i ordered. I truly truly love how pretty and white they are.  They also grow totally different from the tall lanky shrooms.  They seem to be short & stumpy. I have been disappointed in a few of my grow tubs w these however.   Via agar, into grain, they have thus far been clean,   once ive gotten them into substrate ive had 2 tubs end up w trich.  Grrrr.  Something im trying to figure out, and i will. Ive only made chocolates w these.   I like making chocolates coz the choc seems to preserve the potency better than powdered in capsules.  I did enjoy my experience w pearly gates.    Though ive read, & heard folks say that more than one variant be more potent than another,  its just as, if not more, important to have a good setting.  Another shroom that seems to be easy to grow is AMAZON.   In the beginning of my learning process, i was not happy w amazons,  though all these months later i cant remember why.  Lol The Amazon variant has been really good producers, plus i spent a lovely afternoon in a pool w amazons. (See previous post) .   In all honesty though,  im thinking one of these photos is B+ .   Ive really gotta start doing better w my blog!   Lol

 Have not really kept up w this blog the way i intended.  Im just not a writer.   My mind tells me to write, but i either get too busy or am lazy.   😏 Going thru the photos on my phone it seems ive taken lots of photos of my growing experiments.    i think ill try to load a few of those images here and maybe write a bit about each one (if i can remember, ha!) Success!   The 1st four photos are from a shroom called Variant B+.  Im never sure if any of my shrooms will grow or not so every single time im pleasantly surprised.  This variant actually grew taller than any of the others ive tried growing.    I love how pretty the underside of the caps are,  where the spores come from,  and the one close up w the veil having dropped.    One of the caps was actually as big as the palm of my hand.   That waz pretty cool to be honest.

 This is kind of non-related to mycology, but i want to get it all written down before i forget things. To set it all up there are several things i need to write.   I was invited to a seance which took place 2 nites ago. Though ive always been open to things, even more so now that ive discovered the magic in mushrooms,  but i still have a logical slightly scientific bend in my mind.  I am one of those weirdos who is continually learning or attempting to learn new things.   Once i've dabbled in something new i don't always pursue it but i've learned about it enough to satisfy my mind. Basically i'm just a nerd!  Hence, my mind is continually seeking & spinning which will come up later in this post. I am totally open,  knowing that energy can neither be created or destroyed,  yet i typically want to experience or see things for myself,  which, imho, gives me a healthy skepticism. NOW, where to start? Not going to use anyone's name...
